New Batman: Arkham Knight Footage

With the announcement of this game taking place over eight months ago, I find myself in an awkward position. Aside from hearing about the pre-order bonuses from different retailers, I hadn’t heard anything about this game following the pre-rendered “Father to Son” announcement trailer in March. And sure, my natural reaction was to make a video expressing my thoughts on it. Needless to say, I was quite excited. This video game series is one that I have throughly enjoyed, and the formula has only improved in terms of gameplay and the overall story.

Since the “Evening the Odds” trailer (which featured a taste of Batmobile gameplay), and the longer E3 2014 gameplay video, I’ve been waiting patiently for the release of Batman: Arkham Knight. Even though it’s been pushed back to June of next year, I’m confident that Rocksteady won’t steer players wrong. I have no problem waiting for a game I really want, even if there are no announcements whatsoever until closer to the actual release (just look at Telltale). But you can imagine that when I caught wind of some new gameplay, I was all over it. Behold:

Admittedly, I’m not a fan of trailers that tease the actual trailer, but I can overlook it since I consider any peaks of this game to be quite the treat. The full trailer will be available on December 2, 2014, and I’ll post an update when it comes. To be honest, any of the questions that we have won’t be answered until the game is actually released. Even if seeing these trailers is a treat, we all know that gaming companies do this to drum up pre-orders (proven by the Harley Quinn pre-order bonus at the end of each of these trailers). But again, I can overlook that and see through to the core; I’m excited for this game and am willing to wait until it’s finished!

What is Scarecrow planning? Who is Arkham Knight? Does Batman start the game with that sweet armor? Will the rest of the Bat-family show up for an all-out Arkham Royale? We’ll have to wait until June 2, 2015 for the answers, but enjoy the trailers in the meantime!

  2. […] As I said when the last video dropped, these videos are simple ways of driving up pre-orders. Microsoft and Sony are raking in the results in regards to who pre-ordered what edition of this game for which console at what retailer. The perpetual circle-jerk of gaming basically guarantees it, but all I care about is whether or not I will have fun with this game. […]
