With Nintendo’s live event a little less than a day away, everyone tuning in will most likely be looking for more chunks of information about the Nintendo Switch. Since last October, anyone who saw and was intrigued by the Nintendo Switch reveal trailer did so with surprise as to how relatable and detailed it was. You can view that trailer right here:

With that said, Nintendo didn’t give its customers much more than the trailer and a small show-and-tell appearance on the Jimmy Fallon show.

Even then, the rumors were plentiful, but Nintendo kept its lips shut. They opted to do this, with the promise of the long-awaited console releasing in March of 2017, and more information about the Switch in January of 2017. With such a short time between the reveal and its launch, Nintendo is playing an interesting gambit with the Nintendo Switch.

It’s been an interesting time to speculate about a console with a pending release date looming around the corner, but interest for the Nintendo Switch doesn’t seem to have plummeted.

In fact, interest seems to have risen to new heights as more speculation, rumors, and supposed leaks circulate around the internet. With the aforementioned reveal trailer and the Jimmy Fallon footage being the only legitimate information to chew on, the questions arose. How much will the Switch cost at launch? What games will launch with the console? How long will the battery last when the Switch is mobile?

We at Enthusiacs have even gathered to record our thoughts on Codename NX leaks (before it was named Switch), including the Nintendo Switch reveal. Even Kynetyk recorded his thoughts for the Behind the Line Radio podcast. Listening to those episodes, you may notice our excitement, but also our hesitance. This is normal for any new piece of hardware with a lack of information.

With that said, I would like to do something a bit different. I won’t be talking about specific rumors or leaks as they have the opportunity to be as much false as they could be true. With Nintendo’s event going live within the next day, I want to list what I would like to see happen at the live event versus what I expect will happen. These will be broken down in ‘Wants’ and ‘Expectations’ with an emphasis on the wants. Enjoy the list!
