Hello Enthusiacs and welcome to 2016. I am Vega Goose your host and today we are taking a look back at the top ten video games of 2015.

Now before we begin let me say this list is subjective these are just of the games I have played If I didn’t play it at least a little I couldn’t in all fairness put it on this list. So if your favorite didn’t make the list it only means I didn’t play it this year. By all means if I missed one you enjoyed please comment below and let me know. Also these are in no particular Order so don’t let what number they are bother you. These are in my opinion the ten best games released this year.

But enough CYA let’s get into the list with Number Ten.

Super Mario Maker for the Nintendo Wii-U is in it self a joke at Nintendo’s expense “They’ve gotten so lazy they just want us to make the games” while at the same time an excellent playground to build your own custom Mario experience. Not only that but it allows you to share your creation with everyone else who owns this game creating a real Mario online community.

I didn’t play this long but I will say the sheer amount of creations at your finger tips are mind boggling. It’s one of the best from Nintendo this year.

With that said let’s move on to Number 9

Mad Max was a surprising game to say the least. Unlike other “Movie based” games this doesn’t follow the story of the films. Instead it puts you into the world of Mad Max and lets you play around in the sandbox of his universe.

The main point of this game is building and improving your car and many have said that this game gets right what another game Batman Arkham Knight got wrong when it came to car based game play. A simple concept sure but one that not only allows for hours upon hours of gameplay but adds enough fun and adventure to make you care about your character and want to advance the story.

It was a fantastic game that I never knew I wanted, now onto number 8.

Mortal Kombat X despite it’s PC and last gen stumbling absolutely smashed expectations and improved on just about every aspect of it’s 2011 predecessors. Faster smoother fighting, a well balanced experience (with the exception of the end boss they never have gotten that right) and a story that evolved the Mortal Kombat series from a simple tournament fighter to a story based fighting game. The difference is simple and yet it changes the game enough to make the story new while covering old ground.

So that’s number 8 and onto number 7

To be honest their isn’t much I can say about this game without massive spoilers but I will say this much like an earlier game I reviewed Journey this isn’t so much a game as it is an experience. However that experience is well worth going through in fact I would argue this may be one of the best games I’ve played in a long time. It is only number 7 because that’s the order I wrote it down.

However to avoid ruining this game for you let us simply move onto number 6

The end of the Witcher trilogy was one of the best open world games released this year in fact I can only think of one better we will get to later.

What makes this so good is a couple things. One if you have never played a Witcher game this one brings you right up to speed without the need to buy another console. Secondly if not only gives you an amazing story. But it finishes up the Witcher story in a satisfying way, yet leaves us wanting more. I could name a few studios who could learn a thing or two from this game.

That’s number 6 let’s move onto number 5
