On the latest episode of Dragonball we rejoin Goku and ChiChi having arrived on Roshi’s island. At first glance however Chichi is very skeptical that this sad old man is truly the great martial arts master. So what does she do? Fire her blade at him thinking that if he is the Master he will dodge it.

Spoiler he doesn’t and in impales him in the face. Then she starts bitching him out for not dodging it while I’m like WTF Chichi you shot him in the face! Anyway he pulls out his turtle hermit card and this proves that he is who he says he is. Chichi accepts this and help him pull the blade out of his head. I swear the main cast of this show is unkillable till the script says so sometimes. Maybe he used the Dragonball to wish for limited immortality.

Chichi explains their mission and Roshi then pulls Goku aside and tells him they can take the fan if Goku agrees to get him a date with Bulma. Goku agrees though he doesn’t know what a date is. Roshi is very clear not to tell Chichi about their deal.

However this leads to another problem. Roshi was using the fan as a placemat and spilled juice on it long ago and threw it out. So he summons baby Gamera, Yes that Gamera Roshi is such a bad ass he rides a fucking Kaiju, and he follows our heroes to Fire Mountain.

Once they arrive Roshi confronts Ox for killing people over his treasure and the might fighter begs forgiveness and Roshi lets it pass pulling Goku aside to remind him of his deal. However as the fan is gone isn’t the deal off?

Apparently not as Roshi knows Ox has a dragonball in his castle. Goku explains his deal with Bulma who is at first disappointed with Goku but once she hears about the Dragonball she agree to the deal if Roshi can put out the fire.

Fueled with this information Roshi begins to power up. This is the first time we’ve seen a character do this and we even see the first transformation as Roshi seriously beefs up. I mean look at this Roshi is making tons of gains here.

After he bulks up he fires a signature KameHameHa this is the most famous move in the series.

The energy blast uses up all his power and returns to his smaller form but the fire is out Yamcha and Puar are shocked at this power. Sadly his blast was so powerful that he destroyed Ox’s castle in the process. However Bulma in short order was able to find the Dragonball in the rubble

This leads to Goku attempting the KameHameHa himself but Roshi tells him it took his over 50 years to pull it off. Of course seconds later Goku fires it into the capsule car blowing it up. Roshi is dumbfounded until Ox explains Goku trained with Gohan his old student.

Bulma is very angry with Goku after seeing her car is again blasted. Ox however is there to save the day offering the gang a hovercar to use. They get ready to leave and Roshi reminds Bulma that she owes him a date. She pulls Oolong aside and tells him to take her place with Roshi and if he doesn’t she’ll use her pill on him again.

So Oolong transforms into Bulma but he clearly isn’t happy. So to get back at her he walks Roshi around the corner and drops his top showing Roshi Bulma’s breast which makes his nose bleed badly and nearly knocks him out. Bulma is furious but Oolong has no fucks to give.

Goku and Chichi talk for a bit and it’s clear Chichi is taken by the boy and clearly wants to see him again. Goku as clueless as ever says his goodbyes and the group leaves with Yamcha and Puar close behind.

Overall this was a fun episode that got our gang one step closer to finding all the magic dragonballs.
