Hello and welcome to episode 13 of VG Spoils and today is a long time coming as we are at the end of the Emperor Pilaf Saga. If you remember last time we ended with our heroes in a tight spot. Goku had transformed into the great ape monster and was destroying everything in sight left or right.

The villains flee the ape in an airplane escaping for now. Our heroes however have no escape plan and while running Bulma manages to sprain her ankle and looks to be about to die when Yamcha finally mans up and gets over his fear of women to save her.

At the same time Pilaf has decided to turn the plane around and fight the great ape. One assumes he realized that without his castle and subjects he is the Emperor of jack shit. Bullets bounce right off the thing however a well placed missile knocks the great ape out.

Pilaf believes he has killed the ape and begins leaping on his tail. Now one might question why you want to get on the tail of a giant monkey. I mean yes they didn’t animate it but you are like just close to walking right up his ass. That can’t smell good is what I’m saying.

Anyway Goku wakes up and if he were of a right mind would of crushed our villains into paste. However remember he is in a full blown rage so he just starts smashing things allowing them to get back in their plane. But he gets the last laugh and smashes the plane with a tower pretty much by accident.

Goku then turns on his friends as they are the last living things around picking up Bulma intent on eating her. This is where Yamcha, Puar, and Oolong come up with a plan thinking that if they cut off Goku’s tail he may change back. Puar ends up cutting his tail off by becoming a giant pair of scissors. Goku drops Bulma and shrinks down back to his normal form, where he ends up naked and unconscious.

This leads us to the next day when Goku awakens having no idea of what happened. Bulma and Oolong now know that when Goku told them a horrible monster killed his grandfather it was in fact him. They keep it to themselves and Goku will not discover that little bit of information for a long long time.

Goku goes off to the ruins of Pilaf’s castle to find his belongings while Yamcha and Bulma both lament that they didn’t get their wishes. Until they realize they love each other and thus she has a boyfriend like she wanted and he has gotten over his fear of women like he wanted.

This leads us to the wrap up. Yamcha, Bulma, Puar, and Oolong and headed to the city while Goku is off looking for Master Roshi on his flying nimbus. Bulma gives Goku the dragon radar so he can find his grandfathers dragonball once they are restored.

Thus ends the saga and honestly for the start of the show I liked this one. The plot was simple and easy to jump into and it’s only 13 episode so watching this doesn’t take too long. It’s a fun intro to what will be a great series.
