I couldn’t agree more Goose.
We’ll see what the future has to offer for this franchise but for now, I am staying away from its DLC until I see something more substantial.
I just hope that Microsoft makes nice with Bungie so that they can get back to making what they’re good at… Halo.
Bungie was done with Halo really since Halo 3. They were contractually obligated to make more games. While Halo 3: ODST and Reach were fantastic games IMO, if someone or a group of people don’t want to make something any more because there is no passion for it, then they shouldn’t have to. People should only make what they want to make.
I’m glad they are making they game they now want to make but hopefully they understand people’s criticisms and can adapt the game they are (hopefully) enjoying making and learn to address player’s concerns without compromising too much on their vision.
That was a mouthful (that’s what she said).
There was a rumor that Microsoft and Bungie were in talks. If that’s not the case, it’s not the end of the world, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft threw a lot of money at Bungie.
Destiny failed as the spiritual successor to Halo. They set out to make a new IP, but they ended up showing how much they couldn’t just let go of Halo to make that IP.
