RAGE is about how the Earth is doomed and so lots of people are sent into underground shelters in order to rebuild civilization after the catastrophe is over. The government is also evil it turns out and is acting like they’re an enclave of some kind. Mutants are rampant and the government is in no way experimenting on them for combat purposes. But hey, at least it’s an asteroid and not nukes and radiation, right? Also absolutely isn’t like Mad Max either.

Rage is a first-person shooter video game developed by id Software, released in November 2010 for iOS and later October 2011 for Microsoft Windows, the PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360.
